Facing Dementia Together
A clear and accessible campaign website designed to encourage early dementia detection.

Caffeine Powered Digital helped us with website maintenance for the Forward with Dementia project, and website development and maintenance for the Face Dementia project (multilingual). Chris is always super organised, responsive, efficient and respectful. In the development phase, he was able to address a range of complex demands for our audiences. His web design is very clean and user-friendly and he always solves any issues that arise in a timely manner.

Context
Dementia is a leading cause of death in Australia, with research showing that up to half of those living with the condition remain undiagnosed. Early diagnosis, however, can significantly improve outcomes by giving people access to treatment, support, and planning at the right time. Facing Dementia Together is a collaboration between seven of Australia’s leading universities, created to increase awareness of symptoms and encourage people to speak with their GP if they have concerns.
The project
Caffeine Powered Digital worked alongside their brand agency, translators, and in-house writers to design and build a website that prioritised usability—particularly for older people, the audience most at risk. We tailored the site for both Chinese- and English-speaking audiences, paid close attention to navigation and menu design, and ensured appropriate contrast ratios for accessibility. We also optimised the site for mobile use, created a responsive layout, and added a robust search function. Importantly, we made sure the backend was simple enough for the team to update easily, reducing their reliance on external developers.
The outcome
The campaign launched in 2023 with community events across Western Sydney and Adelaide, highlighting the importance of timely dementia diagnosis. The new website gave the campaign a strong digital foundation: a clear, accessible resource that helps people recognise the signs of dementia and find support. The client has since reported that the platform is easy to manage internally, ensuring that new information and resources can continue to reach the people who need them most.
