A rebuilt website for a theatre company inspiring students through live performance.
Context
Poetry In Action (PIA) is a not-for-profit theatre company that brings poetry and literature to life through engaging performances for schools, corporates, and online audiences. Their mission is to unlock the power of words and inspire creativity across Australia. While their original website looked appealing to end users, it had been built on a platform that was cumbersome for their in-house team to manage, limiting their ability to expand and adapt.
The project
Caffeine Powered was first brought on to make incremental changes to the existing platform, but it quickly became clear that a rebuild would save time and energy in the long run. We developed a custom WordPress theme that maintained the visual appeal of their old site while giving them a far more flexible and manageable backend. Alongside the rebuild, we created new features such as an online learning platform to support their programs and help them reach students beyond in-person performances.
The outcome
The relaunch gave PIA’s staff the freedom to manage and grow their site without technical barriers. They can now add and update pages easily, ensuring the site remains fresh and relevant. With Caffeine Powered’s ongoing support plan, they’ve had peace of mind knowing that help is available when needed. The result is a sustainable, user-friendly site that empowers the organisation to focus on delivering its mission of inspiring audiences through the power of words.
